1. Overview Meat My House ("MMH", "we", "our") operates a technology platform that supports customer ordering, merchant storefronts, delivery coordination, private chef bookings, subscriptions, and in-app communications. MMH is not the seller, preparer, or transporter of every product or service offered on the platform and does not become a party to each third-party transaction except where applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Eligibility and accounts You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and maintain only one account per person unless MMH authorizes otherwise. By creating an account, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement and to use the services available to your role.
3. Platform roles Customers may browse, order, subscribe, and request chef services. Merchants list and sell products. Drivers accept and complete delivery opportunities. Chefs offer booking-led services and food experiences. MMH may add or remove role-based tools at any time.
4. Orders, bookings, and subscriptions Orders, chef bookings, and subscription purchases are requests processed through MMH. Availability, prep windows, live tracking, and estimated arrival times are informational only and may change. Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled in accordance with the plan terms shown at checkout.
5. Payments Payments are processed through Stripe or another approved payment processor configured by MMH. MMH may place pre-authorizations, adjust final charges for approved weight-based or fulfilment-related changes, and issue refunds or credits in accordance with platform policy. Taxes, tips, and service fees are disclosed where applicable.
6. Cancellations and refunds Cancellations, substitutions, refunds, credits, and chargebacks are handled according to the applicable product, delivery, merchant, chef, and subscription policies presented through MMH. Abuse of refunds, fraudulent chargebacks, or repeated bad-faith claims may result in suspension or termination.
7. User conduct You must use MMH respectfully and lawfully. Prohibited behavior includes harassment, discrimination, threats, fake accounts, fraud, off-platform circumvention where prohibited, abuse of reviews, misuse of promotions, and attempts to interfere with platform operations or security.
8. Food, quality, delivery, and safety limitations Merchants and chefs are solely responsible for food preparation, ingredients, allergens, packaging, hygiene, temperature control, and regulatory compliance. MMH does not prepare food and does not guarantee allergen-free preparation environments. Delivery windows, ETAs, and route-tracking signals are estimates only. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
9. Intellectual property MMH retains ownership of the platform, software, interface designs, trademarks, trade names, and platform content, excluding user-submitted or partner-submitted materials. By uploading content to MMH, you grant MMH a non-exclusive license to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the service.
10. Suspension and termination MMH may suspend, limit, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, repeated policy violations, unpaid balances, or operational integrity. We may also remove listings, pause payouts, or restrict role-based tools where permitted by law and contract.
11. Liability limitations To the fullest extent permitted by law, MMH is not liable for food quality failures, food safety incidents, allergy outcomes, merchant product defects, chef-prepared meal issues, third-party conduct, or indirect losses arising from marketplace activity, deliveries, bookings, or communications. Applicable consumer protections remain in force where they cannot legally be waived.
12. Governing law and disputes This agreement is governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, unless a mandatory law requires otherwise. Formal notices and dispute-handling procedures may be updated in future versions after legal review. Placeholder for final lawyer-reviewed dispute clause: [insert final Quebec/Canada dispute language].
13. Updates and re-consent MMH may update these terms from time to time. When a new version is required for your role, continued use may be blocked until you review and accept the updated version.
